I figured I should also post pictures of the whole bicycle more often. Less visually impressive, but gives a better idea of what's going on in the streets of Lund, and where I find these rad logos.
An old Monark is always a good place to spot a great old bicycle logo like this. Deterioration at its best!
It's difficult to try and get nice overall photos of bikes that are squashed into bike racks. But this is definitely worth the squinting needed to block out the other stuff in the shot. A Sweden themed tandem bicycle! Really really awesome!
This is great. Hero bicycles are one of India's big bicycle brands, and when you're in India you see them everywhere. But to find one sitting on the street in Southern Sweden is pretty funny. The rod brakes, the lack of rust proofing and solid-steel approach to bicycle construction make it stand out just a bit. But it's great. A literal modern classic.
So I think this is an absolutely great idea, but being seriously under implemented. The front rack on this Skeppshult bike is detachable, and you can see the same mounting point on the back on the frame too. This means you could have any combination of different carry options, maybe a big basket on the back and a narrow rack up front (see here for a little French inspiration), you could have an extra seat on the back and a briefcase holder on the front. You could even have a wine rack on the back and a snowplough on the front!
